We are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Henry Vilas Zoo for their 2013 Roo Run, to be held on Sunday, September 29th at 11am!
Tri 4 Schools will be working on exciting changes to the Roo Run course and experience, and will receive 50% of all proceeds. Parents – sign up for the Zoo Run Run and let’s make it a day of family fun at Madison’s favorite place for families!
Registration

Race day registration will be available on Sunday from 8:30-9:45am.
2013 Pricing Information
Registration will close on Thursday, September 26 at 11:59pm!
The cost of the Roo Run is $15, and three distances are offered – quarter mile, half mile, and one mile. Ages 14 and under are welcome.
Youth Scholarships Available! If your child would like to participate in the Roo Run and will require financial assistance to enter, please contact our Race Director at info@tri4schools.com. Scholarships are available through two grants from the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Madison and Group Health Cooperative!

Courses
We are working on the revised Roo Run course, which will now offer three distances – quarter mile, half mile, and one mile. We will post a map once this has been finalized.
Timing
The Roo Run is not timed. You are welcome to wear a watch and time yourself though to see how you do!
WHERE IS RACE DAY REGISTRATION?
Race-day registration and packet pick-up will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at exactly 9:45 a.m. in the Main Tent in the center of Henry Vilas Zoo. Please enter using the gate closest to Wingra Beach and the race start. Please allow sufficient time to find parking and pick up your race packet.
WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
Please arrive early to allow time to park as space is limited.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY CLOTHING/GEAR?
Please be sure to leave all valuables in a secure place as we will not be storing items for participants during the run/walk event.
ARE THERE ANY REFUNDS?
There are absolutely no refunds given.
WHERE WILL THE FIRST AID/MEDICAL PERSONNEL BE LOCATED?
First aid and medical personnel will be located near the finish line area.
WILL THERE BE A COSTUME CONTEST?
Yes! Dress up as your favorite animal! Prizes will be given for the best costume.

The race will be held at The Henry Vilas Zoo – 702 S. Randall Avenue, Madison, WI 53715.
Parking
Please arrive early as parking is limited. There will be No Parking signs posted along the course as well!
Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28
Fleet Feet will host a packet pick-up for the Zoo Run Run and Roo Run from 10am-4pm at their store. You may NOT register at this time.

There will be plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy after completing the Roo Run:

- While You Were Out Babysitting face painters
- Food and Beverages for all finishers
Proceeds from the Roo Run will be split among the Zoo and Tri 4 Schools to help us continue to operate in Dane County. We donate 100% of the entry fees from our triathlons to school health and fitness programs, meaning we must cover our race and operational costs through fundraising.
